Services

At Mandran Health, our team of Behavioral Health Specialists, comprised of therapists, case managers, nurse practitioners, and psychiatrists, is dedicated to addressing the individual mental health needs of our clients. With a focus on clinical expertise and empathetic understanding, we offer a range of services tailored to prioritize your well-being and personal development.

Psychiatric Evaluation

Psychiatric evaluation services are tailored to comprehensively assess and address each  patient’s unique mental health needs. Our evaluations encompass a range of domains,  including but not limited to emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and social functioning. Utilizing  evidence-based assessment tools and techniques, we assess for various psychiatric disorders  commonly seen in our patients, such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, autism spectrum  disorder (ASD), and disruptive behavior disorders.

Following the evaluation, we will provide personalized treatment recommendations, including  psychotherapy, medication management, behavioral interventions, parent guidance, and  collaboration with other healthcare professionals and educators. Ultimately, we aim to empower  our patients and their families with the knowledge, support, and resources to promote optimal  mental health and well-being throughout childhood, adolescence, and adulthood.

Medication Management

Medication management plays a vital role in psychiatric therapy by complementing the  therapeutic process. It can stabilize mood, reduce anxiety, alleviate psychotic symptoms, and  improve attention and concentration, thus enhancing the effectiveness of psychotherapy  sessions. Through careful assessment, we determine appropriate medication options, dosage,  and monitoring schedules to effectively treat psychiatric conditions such as ADHD, anxiety  disorders, depression, and mood disorders. We prioritize collaboration with patients, families,  and other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive and collaborative approach to  treatment.

Additionally, medication management ensures that patients receive appropriate dosages,  monitor for side effects, and adjust treatment as needed, promoting safety and optimizing  treatment outcomes. This collaborative approach addresses both the biological and  psychological aspects of mental illness, leading to more comprehensive and successful  treatment outcomes.

Individual Therapy

As a dedicated team of Behavioral Health Specialists, we conduct thorough assessments to  understand each patient’s unique background, symptoms, and treatment goals. Through a  supportive and empathetic therapeutic alliance, we help patients explore emotions, thoughts,  and behaviors, fostering insight and resilience. Regular sessions allow for progress monitoring, adjustment of treatment strategies, and empowerment of patients to achieve sustainable  improvements in mental health and well-being.

Furthermore, we integrate our medical training with psychotherapeutic techniques to address a  wide range of mental health issues. Drawing upon our understanding of neurobiology (a study of  the nervous system) and psychopharmacology (the study of how drugs affect mood, cognition,  behavior, and mental health), we assess for any underlying biological factors contributing to the  patient’s symptoms. This collaborative approach allows our team to tailor treatment plans,  including medication management and psychotherapy.

Family Therapy

Our team also offers comprehensive Family Therapy services. Through collaborative sessions,  we address communication patterns, interpersonal conflicts, and family roles to foster  understanding and improve relationships.

We utilize evidence-based techniques such as structural therapy, which focuses on  restructuring maladaptive family patterns, and strategic treatment, which emphasizes problem solving and communication skills. Additionally, we integrate systemic approaches that consider  the broader context in which family dynamics occur, including cultural factors, socioeconomic  status, and community influences. Our multidisciplinary team integrates psychiatric expertise  with family therapy principles, providing collaborative care that promotes lasting positive change  and strengthens familial bonds for improved mental health outcomes.

Targeted Case Management

Targeted Case Management is a Medicaid-funded service that aims to eliminate barriers to behavioral health treatment by addressing clients’ social, emotional, educational, and vocational needs. Targeted Case Managers work closely with clients and their families to assist in navigating health care while advocating for their needs across domains of functioning.

Certified case managers first help assess the client’s needs and develop an individualized care plan. We work closely with community providers to assist in eliminating barriers to connecting with resources. To help clients achieve their goals, we meet several times every month throughout their care plan.

Case Management is free to eligible clients.

THE MANDRAN APPROACH TOWARD MENTAL HEALTH

Behavioral Therapy

Behavioral Therapy is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on modifying maladaptive behaviors  by applying principles of learning theory. It aims to identify and change problematic behaviors  through reinforcement, shaping, and exposure, leading to positive behavioral change and  improved mental health outcomes.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a psychotherapeutic approach that addresses  dysfunctional thoughts and behaviors. It aims to identify and challenge negative thought  patterns, replace them with healthier beliefs, and develop coping strategies. CBT is evidence based and effective for treating various mental health disorders, emphasizing present-focused  problem-solving.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is a collaborative process between a therapist and a client that aims to address  emotional difficulties, improve mental health, and foster personal growth. Through various  therapeutic techniques and interventions, it helps individuals explore their thoughts, feelings,  and behaviors, leading to greater self-awareness, insight, and coping skills.

Family/Marital Therapy

Family/Marital Therapy focuses on improving relationships within families or couples. It explores  communication patterns, resolves conflicts, and fosters understanding and empathy. Therapists  work collaboratively with all members to address issues such as communication breakdowns,  power struggles, and unresolved conflicts, aiming to strengthen bonds and promote healthier  relationships.

Trauma Focused Therapy

Trauma-focused therapy is a specialized approach to treating individuals, typically children or  adolescents, who have experienced trauma. It integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques to  address symptoms related to traumatic experiences, such as PTSD. Therapy aims to process  traumatic memories, develop coping skills, and restore a sense of safety and empowerment.

Social Work

Social work is a profession dedicated to enhancing well-being and empowering individuals, families, and communities. Social workers provide support, advocacy, and resources to address social, emotional, and practical needs. We work in diverse settings, including healthcare, schools, and social service agencies, striving for social justice and systemic change.

Applied Behavioral Analysis

Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is a therapeutic approach that helps individuals learn new skills to increase their quality of life. ABA focuses on understanding and improving behaviors. Techniques generally involve teaching effective ways of behaving through positive reinforcement and working to change the social consequences of existing behavior. Treatment approaches based on ABA have been empirically shown to be effective in a wide variety of areas.

Psychiatry

Psychiatry is a medical specialty focused on diagnosing, treating, and preventing mental health  disorders. Psychiatrists assess patients through interviews, observation, and diagnostic tests and may prescribe medication, therapy, or other interventions. We use a collaborative approach  to address a wide range of conditions, from mood disorders to psychotic disorders.

Animal-Assisted Therapy

Animal-assisted therapy is a therapeutic intervention that incorporates animals into the treatment plan. The client, therapist, and animal work together in therapeutic activities outlined in a treatment plan, with clear goals for change, measurable objectives, and the expectation of identifiable progress toward the treatment goals. The therapy can take many forms based on the patient, the animal, and the treatment goals.

EMDR

EMDR is a structured therapy that encourages the patient to focus briefly on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the trauma memories. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms. Ongoing research supports positive clinical outcomes, showing EMDR therapy as a helpful treatment for disorders such as anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain, addictions, and other distressing life experiences.
